SHAMELESS SCERT TREATS PRINCIPAL EQUIVALENT TO SWEEPER AND POEN

You can see from the above form how these people treat a principal who are on contract staff. They have no respect for teaching profession and discriminates Principals and teachers on contract staff.

There is a government organisation full of corruption and nepotism called SCERT..They do not distinguish between a Principal and a sweeper.. They do not recruit people through Public Service Commission; instead they have their own sinister recruitment methods.. From SCERT website I got a pdf file in which a form for collection of remuneration is given; Principal, poen and sweeper are treated without any difference..see for yourself the following form given in Kerala SCERT website of Open School  http://www.openschool.kerala.gov.in/

The District Co-ordinator of Open School under SCERT is paid just Rs.11,000/-. Even daily wage labourers get much more than this in Kerala. These inhuman bosses in the SCERT higher ups are so burgoise type people that they fail to understand that District Coordinator is a human being who has to feed his/her children and send them to school. These sort of bureaucrats are responsible for the rise in naxalism. These bosses of SCERT are the direct descendants of the British Raj and Slave Kingdoms. These bosses earn fat salaries and perks from State Government and UGC. They do not pay the miserable poor guys a decent livelihood for their hard work and treat SCERT as if it is their ancestral property.

UGC Professors vs. teachers of self financing colleges

Salary disparity of Teachers -UGC vs. Self financing

Abraham Lincoln's Letter to his Son's Teacher

He will have to learn, I know,
that all men are not just,
all men are not true.
But teach him also that
for every scoundrel there is a hero;
that for every selfish Politician,
there is a dedicated leader…
Teach him for every enemy there is a friend,

Steer him away from envy,
if you can,
teach him the secret of
quiet laughter.

Let him learn early that
the bullies are the easiest to lick…
Teach him, if you can,
the wonder of books…

But also give him quiet time
to ponder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky,
bees in the sun,
and the flowers on a green hillside.

In the school teach him
it is far honourable to fail
than to cheat…
Teach him to have faith
in his own ideas,
even if everyone tells him
they are wrong…
Teach him to be gentle
with gentle people,
and tough with the tough.

Try to give my son
the strength not to follow the crowd
when everyone is getting on the band wagon…
Teach him to listen to all men…
but teach him also to filter
all he hears on a screen of truth,
and take only the good
that comes through.

Teach him if you can,
how to laugh when he is sad…
Teach him there is no shame in tears,
Teach him to scoff at cynics
and to beware of too much sweetness…
Teach him to sell his brawn
and brain to the highest bidders
but never to put a price-tag
on his heart and soul.

Teach him to close his ears
to a howling mob
and to stand and fight
if he thinks he’s right.
Treat him gently,
but do not cuddle him,
because only the test
of fire makes fine steel.

Let him have the courage
to be impatient…
let him have the patience to be brave.
Teach him always
to have sublime faith in himself,
because then he will have
sublime faith in mankind.

This is a big order,
but see what you can do…
He is such a fine little fellow,
my son!

RTE Judgement of Supreme Court...great

The Supreme Court has upheld the constitutional validity of the Right to Education Act, saying all schools must give 25 per cent free seats to the poor. Is this a blow against elitism in education? Or is this, as many private schools have argued, simply not practical?

Senior University Professors creating impediments to new recruitment

Only death can get rid of these Professors not retirement -Educational Institutions are being made ancestral properties of the faculty members

Only death can get rid of these Professors who are working in the educational institutions in the country. By the time they reach retirement age they would have developed sufficient political clout to evade retirement. They will be continued as Directors of academic institutions under the Universities until they die. They get post -retirement employment along with their pension.

The educated youth in this country is cheated. These Professors, while working in the University, do everything they could to ensure that they are re-employed there itself. Their latest strategy is to encourage the University managements to establish self financing colleges and avoid recruitment of permanent faculty members. It is similar to the natural phenomenon that, in a herd of Lions the male Lion always tries to kill male cubs to prevent competitions in future. Universities are converted to jungles by these vested interest Professors.

The self financing colleges are shops that insult the teaching profession and the teaching community. These institutions are run by University clerks to keep a watch over the faculty members there who are appointed on hire and fire contract basis. The permanent professors, after retirement has an eye on the positions of Director-ship or Principal posts of these institutions where the other faculty members are mostly women employed on contract.

Thus the UGC Professors have established a mafia in the academic circles to prevent employment opportunities for the youth for their own selfish interests

Textbook writing Professors hamper curriculum improvement

In some Universities like the University of Calicut, there are Professors who write lot of Textbooks, which are actually not different from guides. They push their text books using the University facilities available to them such as University cooperative society and earn so much income out of this book sales. The worst thing about this profit making business is that they hamper development of subject. For example, in the entire State of Kerala the school curriculum follows SSA (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan) method of teaching but the B.Ed curriculum does not reflect this. The textbooks and the curriculum remained stagnant. The powerful text book writer lobby could be behind this.

With eye on profit making alone these text book writing Professors write textbooks not only on their own areas of competency, but also on nearly all the subjects beyond their comprehension by 'tying up' with other lesser known writers. Thus it is a classic example of mutual-ism in ecology in which both the teams benefit out of this arrangement.

These Professors lobby have been influential in the University Administration and they set up what is known as Self Financing Colleges meaning Colleges that profit out of low paid teachers appointed on contract basis. These Professors lobby, whose interest is selling textbooks, visit the self financing institutions for delivering lectures/ guest talks/ seminars etc. and in the process give publicity to their books and even distribute their books.. Thus Universities have been reduced into business enterprises where a minority of bourgeois in the garb of Professors stop development of faculty, improvement of curriculum and hamper educational growth, doing great injustice to the children of this land.

At a shop near a self financing college directly run by the University of Calicut, a teacher points at her institution and tells the shopkeeper, "that is another shop just like yours; you sell provisions and they sell education. They have no regard to the profession of teaching or respect for teachers; Even the peon and sweeper of these colleges are permanent employees with all sorts of government salary and benefits but the teachers are appointed on contract basis on hire and fire policy and they treat the teachers as their orderlies".

The UGC salary earning Professors in the Universities have plenty of spare time at their disposal which some of them utilise for making money running their own businesses. Clever Professors actually utilise the facilities provided by the University to become Book Tycoons. None of them have any interest in establishing a great culture in the University or even in good administration.

Globalisation has increased the wealth of Indians and progress. Educational enterprises like Universities, that traditionally played crucial role in development of manpower and responsible citizens, are at present mere teaching enterprises. The value of teachers have depleted and they are just like any other employee. Students of India will soon stop calling the teachers 'Sir' or 'Maam', as teaching as a profession is degraded into mere business rather than institutions inculcating values, patriotism and morals and the Professors have a great role to play in this.
