UGC Rules but no UGC pay -teacher exploitation

The teachers of private /self financing colleges need not be imposed UGC rules because they do not get paid UGC salaries and service conditions. they are appointed on contract basis, exploited, with meager consolidated pay and no allowances and pension. First treat them at par with UGC teachers and pay them at par and then talk about their duties and responsibilities

An article in Mathrubhumi daily at the following link shows the hefty pay that the college teachers who are permanent and UGC salary holders get. This is happening when most of the teachers in the private sector and those employed in contract basis in the government sector are exploited and paid consolidated little amount without any pension, allowances, job security, or anything.

The college teachers in the private/self-financing sector and those employed on contract basis constitute the major chuck of teachers. Government are not bothered about their plight. The institutions pay them only small consolidated amount every month.

The communist government under Achyuthanandan was eager to give UGC scales of pay to permanent college teachers working in government and aided sector but did not bother about those in the private and self financing sectors

Unaided B.Ed College Teachers Teaching Experience not counted -human rights violation

The teaching experience of unaided / self financing teachers is not counted while recruiting faculty members in the Kerala University. This was revealed when information was sought vide RTI 2005 Act. This is gross injustice to the unemployed youth in the State and the Country. 

Teachers of unaided/self-financing colleges with many years of teaching experience and administrative experience as Principals are at a disadvantage while trying for teaching post in the University departments. 

Those who have already employed thus get advantage in faculty recruitment. The teachers with UGC qualification (UGC_NET)and even Ph.D in Education are unable to get a government post because 90% of B.Ed colleges in the State are in the private /self- financing sectors. These colleges are run with the approval of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).  

It may be noted that there are only 4 B.Ed colleges in the Government sector and 17 in the Aided sector. The rest 200 above colleges are private / self financing colleges. It is not possible for qualified youth in Kerala to become teacher educator (meaning B.Ed college teacher)because the opportunities for employment is NIL. In the 4 government colleges the general candidates are appointed only if candidates working in the government are not available for appointment in 'By Transfer' category in the PSC recruitment.The aided college appointments are based not on merit but on caste /community /Donation considerations mainly. 

Thus it is great injustice to unemployed eligible youth by sealing off all government employment opportunities to them and even declining their hard earned teaching / administrative experience in the private institutions.

School administrators want all students to become Dr. Abdul Kalam like scientists in future!

That is why they make the curriculum so tough for the hapless students and parents. All the things that are unwanted in life are taught in the schools. The goal is to make all students scientists,engineers and doctors.
But the reality is that only less than 5 percent of indian population will become scientists, doctors or engineers and the rest has to do other jobs, whether they like it or not. Then why should the 90% of students who would not become scientists, engineers or doctors be spared of this torture at school -being forced to learn so tough subjects written by Coolie teachers of SCERT in substandard English
Given below is an excerpt from the social science text book of Class X in State syllabus.
"The Renaissance ideas of rationalism and
humanism were repeated in the age of
Enlightenment also. Enlightenment was an
advancement in the intellectual activities of
man which tried to explain the natural world
and the role of man in it in the light of
rationalism. The conflict between religious
faith and rationalism was the feature of
Enlightenment. The Enlightenment thinkers
tried to understand and explain things in the
light of reason based on facts and evidences."
Have you understood anything? I am a person with post graduation from some premier institutions and who scored 96 percentile in the GMAT exam. I myself find this content and language obnoxious. It is sure to make children hate history itself and run away from the subject if someone mentions the word itself.
Why do our educational administrators take some sincere effort to make textbooks in such a way that the contents are presented in a more comprehensible manner using good English?
